Nusa Penida
Si' devo proprio ammetterlo: sono proprio felice.
English:
in the tranquillity of Lembongan Josh, JEss, Nyoman, Aldi the Captain and me decided to go and explore Nusa Penida, the biggest island of the group of islands around here. Having the Captain with us meant having a boat and with Nyoman and Aldi a cheaper rate for a scooter rental assured. Nusa Penida has a beautiful little temple set up into a cave up on one of the hills of the island. You can enter in the temple through a little opening in the middle of the hills, it is nice and spacious inside, we were extremely lucky, there was a ceremony going on when we arrived and the locals allowed us to watch it and take pictures. We needed ( as tradition) to wear a sarong and cover our shoulders before entering the temple, after you enter and you cross the whole cave, the cave itself has a =n opening on the other side of the hill: the jungle, some little houses, monkeys..After our visit at the temple ( a full school trip arrived there when we were leaving) we decided to go and explore the island: simply great. No tourists, the amazing nature, the peace, little villages with heaps of children just staring at us and shouting heeeelllooooooooo! we answered to them , made them happy, a glimpse of true Indonesia I felt like Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray and Love even if for the movies the scenes were recorded in Ubud, but the scenery is almost the same. We arrived till Manta Point but this time not from the sea , but through the hills: we went down vey steep steps till the sea….a bit dangerous, very hard ( especially the way back up to the hill), but it was worth it…(the pics spoke for themselves), in these days I am relaxing so much that I am coming to the conclusion that I am not sure that I will stop traveling after only one year……I can't really see myself back to an Office job and I can't see myself grayish and unhappy walking (driving) the same road every morning to go to work.. DUNNO it is only an idea, but I am enjoying so much my decision right now that really I would love to continue traveling. Uh by the way in my living here in Lembongan I started running again every other day. It is hard with 34 degrees during sunset, but the scenery is amazing and all the people are nice and they are greeting me every evening while I run by and then it does not matter if it is hard I know that when I will be back at the guesthouse the swimming pool and supr great food is there waiting for me.
Yup I really have to say it: I am really really happy.
