Nusa Lembongan

Nusa Lembongan:

Bella. Piccola isoletta paradiso con gente gentilissima, guesthouse pulite e tipicamente balinesi. L'isola e' piccola, ma ha spiagge carine con acqua cristallina e onde enormi. L'isola sopravvive solo su turismo e coltivazione  di alghe. La mattina la spiaggia principale ( onestamente un po' sporca considerando che di notte arriva tutta la monnezza da Bali…) si anima di persone che con le loro barche vanno  recuperare le alche che hanno piantato ( tra l'altro il mare e' a scacchi….la sabbia bianca e l'acqua cristallina diventano scure dove sott'acqua sono state piantate le alghe…..sul subito sembra che il colore del mare cambi per i coralli, poi ti rendi conto…come cavolo e' possibile che i coralli crescano in un perfetto rettangolo?!???!), appena il caldo picchia e le alghe sono state stese su appositi teloni allora tutti si ritirano nei loro warung (negozietti) o guesthouses. 

E' bello andare in giro in scooter per tutta l'isola (unita a Nusa Penida con un ponte sospeso) ringrazio Josh per avermi fato da Chaffeur. Sulla mia via da Sanur verso Lembongan ho conosciuto Chris e Jessi, mi sono unita a loro e sono finita in una splendida guesthouse chiamata Wahyu, pulitissima, piscina, ristorante con cibo sublime. Queste guesthouse sono super attrezzate: barca, scooter, tour intorno all'isola.

Il giorno dopo il mio arrivo decido di andare a nuotare con le mante: io, Josh, Helena e Nuno. Bel gruppo e super esperienza!!!! 5 mante intorno a noi, enormi, bellissime e super aggraziate (vedi foto).

Dopo la mia esperienza con le mante decido di andare a fare immersioni il giorno dopo. Bellissime, coralli, pesci, colori…purtroppo nella seconda immersioni ci siamo imbattuti in pesca clandestina: una fitta rete da pesca sulla barriera corallina quindi abbiamo passato i nostri 45 minuti ognuno con un coltello a tagliare la rete e cercare di liberare i pesci: angel fish, big eyes, butterfly fish…..uno scempio. Alcuni di loro purtroppo non sono sopravvissuti…..a volte mi domando come la crudeltà' umana possa arrivare a certi livelli…quei pesci certo non potevano servire per sfamare qualcuno e di sicuro non sarebbero potuti neppure essere venduti come pesci per acquari….le scaglie troppo danneggiate.

QUi ho incontrato uno splendido gruppo di persone: per la maggior parte surfisti: Chris, Jess, Josh, Helena, Nuno, Khristine, Nick, Charlie, Ben, Shaley, Trev and Kelly. Stasera andremo cena tutti insieme e domani mene andrò' nelle Gili islands per non so quanti giorni. Dicono essere un paradiso terrestre.

Arrivata nel paradiso terrestre il collegamento internet qui non funziona molto bene quindi sparirò' per alcuni giorni….le tre isolette sono carine, sabbia fine, bel mare…purtroppo si sta sviluppando loto velocemente e vivere costa molto più' che Lembongan! Quindi fra 3 giorni me ne ritorno a Lembongan piccola perla poco contaminata,

Beautiful. Nice little paradise island in front of Sanur, full of Balinese clean guesthouses and nice people. The island is small, but it has plenty of nice little beaches with crystal blue water with massive waves. The island survives on truism and the cultivation of seaweeds. Early in the morning the biggest beach ( honestly not very clean considering that during the night high tide kick in with all the rubbish from Bali…) animates with lots of people that start their little boats and go to pick up the seaweeds they have planted ( by the way so funny the clear water and the white sand colored in black spots where the seaweeds grow and at the beginning I believed the darker spots were corals, but then u look at it and you think how is it possible that corals grow in perfect rectangular shape?), then as soon as the heat hits everybody goes back in their warring ( little shops) or guesthouses.

It is nice wondering around on a scooter around the island ( there is a connection suspended bridge between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida), I need to thank Josh for being my chaffer. ON my way from saner to Lembongan I met Jessi and Chris and followed them to this beautiful guesthouse  called Wahyu, clean, nice, swimming pool with a  fine cheap restaurant. Those guesthouses are well equipped: boat, tour around the island, scooters, bikes.

The day after my arrival I have decided to go swimming with the mantas: me . Josh, Helena and Nuno. NIce group of people it has being and amazing experience. 5 mantas around us, huge, graceful animals (see pic).

After my experience with mantas I have decided to go diving the day after. Two beautiful dives, corals, fishes, colours…. unluckily on the second dive we spotted a pouching fish net…we spent our 45 minutes under water each of us with  knife ( we were 6) to cut the fishnet and try to release the fishes…some of them died, some of them lived. Angelfish, butterflyfish, big eye, wrasse…..a disaster. Sometimes I ask myself how a human being can be so reckless ..these fishes could not be eaten ( too small) and they could not be sold to the fish shops coz of the damaged that were inflicted by the net.

Here I have met very nice people, most of them surfers: Chris, Jess, Josh, Helena, Nuno, Khristine, Nick, Charlie, Ben, Shaley, Trev and Kelly. Tonight we are off all together to have dinner and tomorrow I will leave and heading to Gili islands., but no clue for how long.

It said Gilis are a real Paradise.

I am in the suppose Paradise. Internet connection does not work properly so I will disappear for a few days…the 3 islands are really nice, talc sand, clear blue water, but he construction are getting massive here so I do prefer Lembongan the true pearl of Bali. So I will return there in 3 days...
