arrived in Bali. First places I decide to check out are Kuta and Legion Beach. Decided to stay at Banyasa I in Poppies Lane II. There is even the swimming pool and I pay 9 euros breakfast included. Paradise for surfers since the first bite it gave me the idea of total chaos. Local market a mix of false and local handcrafts: colours, people, everybody always t-shitless and flip flops. Everybody speaks this surf dude slang language. As I was posting before i feel like in the Surf Dude movie that is ok for a couple of days , but not my thing. Here you can find everything from Carrefour to Cold Stone. Too many people, too much noise. And then the endless dirty everywhere especially on the beach. Kuta ( an its appendix Legion beach) is a disgrace of human kind. Never seen so dirty beaches. Even in China. Strange I though that surfers were like green goers as divers are. Respect the Nature. But I guess I was wrong or, well, Bali attracts only the "Sunday" surfers the ones who do not care about anything but Wind, Waves, Girls...pity. The locals try to fool you , but they are doing it with a bi smile on their lips and they are polite.
One thing really got me here: many locals are coming to me and ask me if I need company...at the beginning I was like: what the heck do I have it written on my face that I am here alone? Then I start to look around: NO NO! They re approaching every single girls it does not matter if the poor girl is screaming at them I am here with my boyfriend/husband. They do not care...and here it comes the angry boyfriend/husband asking what the hell is going on....then everything goes smooth like silk and the 2 dudes are ending up surfing together...but I cannot help asking me why there are so many gigolo' around..then I take another look and I understand..there are yeaps of girls ( and not only your girls) going around with their Balinese flings...Ok I have to admit that they have stunning bodies considering that the 90% of the population surf, but still, for me, a very personal opinion, the Asian are not appealing......
Something spectacular is even here..every street corner has its own little temple where Balinese are making offering both morning and evenings: Tea leaves, flowers petals, biscuits, candies all wrapped in a palm leave.....
Tomorrow I will start another adventure: heading to Ulu Watu where Ulu Watu beach and Bingin beach are....it seems that these 2 spots are the real deal for surfers.
Mi ricordano le foto che hai fatto in Cambogia. Mi hai detto che ti è piaciuta molto di più, ma aspetta di vedere altri posti, potresti trovare angoli inaspettati. E' sempre piacevole leggere le tue impressioni!
