Prima fermata: Taiwan - Taipei.

Il popolo Taiwanese.

Devo dire che non me la immaginavo cosi' verde!! Ovunque ci sono alberi, parchi, rigogliosa natura tropicale, fiori. E poi tanti negozi per Animali (qui adorano i cani!), a quanto pare le giovani coppie sublimano la voglia di maternita' e paternita' con un cucciolo dato che costa mooooooolto meno...

I Taiwanesi sono un popolo sorridente e cordiale, per certi versi mi ricordano i Filippini, hanno buone maniere e in tantissimi parlano inglese. Incredibilmente pur essendo di derivazione culturale cinese, hanno poco di cinese  e come dice Jessi e' difficile inquadrarli. E lo e' veramente.

Ho notato che sono un popolo estremamente devoto ed estremamente superstizioso. Alla fine del Capodanno cinese di fronte a negozi ed uffici c'erano altarini con incensi e prelibatezze culinarie per gli Spiriti e poi, come in Cina, via di botti ( per cacciare gli spiriti maligni. Piu' fanno rumore e meglio e'. Da qui l'espressione di noi stranieri che ad ogni persona che chiede come vanno i festeggiamenti del Capodanno cinese rispondiamo : sembra di stare in guerra! Ecco forse questo e la lingua sono le uniche due cose che mi ricordano la Repubblica Popolare Cinese.

The Taiwanese people

First I need to say that I did not imagine Taiwan so green! Everywhere there are trees, parks, amazing tropical nature, flowers. Then many different Animal toilette shops (here they love dogs!), it seems that newlyweds sublime their maternity and paternity cravings (Is it possible to use cravings related to parenthood? BOH?!?) with a puppy coz it costs much much less.....

Taiwanese are a smiley  and kind population, for many different reasons they remind me of Philipinos, they have manners and many of them speak perfect English. Amazingly even if they culture derives from Chinese Culture, they are not really Chinese and as Jessi pointed out it is difficult to understand them. And really it is difficult. After Chinese New Year' holidays in front of shops and offices there were altars with incenses and delicacy for the high Spirits and then, like China, gooooo with fire crackers (in order to scare the Evil Spirits. The louder they are the better it is. Out of this tradition Westeners saying when somebody ask how are the Chinese New Year celebration going: seems to be at war!!!

I have noticed Taiwanese are very devote and very superstitious. Right probably this and the language are the only 2 things that reminds me of People's Republic of China.
